I have worked in the arts and education with a background in theatre all my professional life. I have found myself consistently engaged at the intersection of theatre and participation.

This experience has given me the skills to understand in-depth several aspects of the performer’s techniques, training, the interaction with the audience, and how to build participatory performances. I believe in making work which gives to the audience the possibility to have strong aesthetical experiences.

I have been working as a director, performer, trainer and consultant since 1997. Check out my background and experience below.

I earned my degree from the University of Rome La Sapienza, where I developed a strong interest in how audiences and performers interacted. This made me realise the importance of setting clear goals in our work.

Because of my passion for this topic, I decided to focus my undergraduate thesis on Grotowski’s techniques. After that, I went on to do a Master’s degree in Performance Making at Goldsmiths, University of London, which deepened my knowledge in this area.

I have worked in projects funded by the British Council, the EU, the Arts Council and national institutions in more than 20 countries.

Furthermore, I have investigated different immersive theatre forms, which has given me the skills necessary to plan a performance for an audience based on intimate interactions.  I created productions (mentioned below) – as director, performer, dramaturg.
